National Housekeeping Week was recently celebrated at Copeland Oaks Retirement Community and Crandall medical Center in Sebring.
Each member of the Housekeeping Dept. was presented with a white logo tee shirt which they tye-dyed in bright colors and wore each day. “Because housekeepers often work behind the scenes, we wanted to do something special that focused the spotlight on each housekeeping employee during their special week,” said Barb Mather, housekeeping director.
Besides the special tee shirts, the housekeepers were treated to a pizza picnic at the Copeland gazebo on Friday afternoon.
“We focus on housekeeping during the week-long observance, but we appreciate our housekeeping staff every day because they play such a vital role in providing the comfort and cleanliness that makes a huge impact on the health and well-being of our Copeland and Crandall residents,” said Phil Braisted, Copeland CEO.
“We also wanted to show the housekeeping team how much we as Copeland/Crandall employees appreciate their daily efforts to provide a clean, safe and healthy environment in which to work,” noted Jason Cicchillo, Crandall administrator.
