Skilled Nursing

With A Holistic Approach

Residential Skilled Nursing

“Excellence is doing ordinary things extraordinarily well.”

This is the philosophy of the Nursing Department at Crandall Medical Center. Our competent staff of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and State Tested Nursing Assistants provide the highest level of skilled nursing care to Crandall residents who are receiving rehabilitation services or are making their home with us.

Our holistic approach to nursing practice means that each plan of care is personalized to the individual’s specific physical, emotional, psychological, intellectual, social and spiritual needs.

Exemplifying the work ethic of commitment and compassion, 53% of the 75 nurses on staff have worked at Crandall Medical Center more than 15 years. Our 25 Registered Nurses direct and plan resident care, assess resident status on an ongoing basis, interface with the medical staff and serve as a resource for nursing assistants and ancillary departments. Our 50 Licensed Practical Nurses dispense medications, ensure safety, and provide treatments and direct bedside care.

Family members are cordially invited to be involved in the care of their loved ones.

Specializing in empathetic care for the frail elderly, we understand that nursing practice goes well beyond physical and medical considerations. Crandall nurses and nursing assistants are sincere, giving, supportive and insightful. Nurses at Crandall extend hands that heal, arms that hug and smiles that touch hearts. With the goal of helping residents feel well, Crandall nurses focus on the abilities and accomplishments of residents while working to minimize the symptoms of chronic diseases and disabilities that are often a part of the aging process.

Crandall nurses dispense comfort, compassion and cheer without a prescription.
